On the face of it motorhomes and campervans appear to be identical - just two words describing the same thing. But look deeper and it's apparent that the two are remarkably different. But what sets them apart?

Motorhomes, as the name implies, give you home comforts and luxuries. It is common to find things like entertainment systems and satellite TV alongside the more basic facilities like hot running water, shower rooms and kitchens. Using a motorhome is definitely the comfortable option for festivals, touring and trips.

Campervans tend to be more frugal with the emphasis on traveling light and leaving the trappings of the pampered life at home. This isn't to say that comfort is sacrificed, just that toilets and showers tend not be standard items. The campervan is more utilitarian than the motorhome, so for the less hardy a motorhome is probably the best choice!
